We love our senior guests and take extra care with them. Pets 8+ years, flat-faced breeds, pets on medication, or those with heart or joint conditions may experience additional stress. We monitor every pet and will contact you immediately with any concern. For senior pets or pets with thin or sensitive skin, dematting carries additional risk — we will always recommend a humane shave-down and call you before proceeding.
3. Vaccination Certification

Bark & Purr practices Humanity before Vanity. Dematting may cause skin irritation, redness, or minor nicks. For senior pets, cats, or pets with thin skin, dematting carries elevated risk including bruising or skin tears. A humane shave-down will always be recommended in these cases. We will contact you before proceeding.
5. Emergency Veterinary Authorization
I authorize Bark & Purr to seek emergency care at my expense if my pet is in distress. If I cannot be reached:

I release Bark & Purr, its owners and staff from liability for injury, illness, or stress during grooming/boarding where reasonable care was exercised. I accept responsibility for undisclosed conditions and injuries my pet causes to staff or other animals.
7. Cancellation & Late Pickup
• 24-hour notice required. Late cancellations may incur up to 50% fee. Repeat no-shows require a deposit.
• Late pickup: $20 per 30 minutes beyond closing.
