Designer Brief
Zen Paws Rewards — Rewards Page
For the designer building the page · pending Linda's earn-rate / catalog sign-off · 11 Jun 2026
Goal of the page
One PAWrent-facing page that does three jobs at once: shows their points balance, lets them refer a friend, and lets them submit a post for advocacy points. All three feed one wallet. The hero feeling: "every wag earns paws."
Page sections (top to bottom)
- Balance hero — big friendly number ("You have 4,310 Zen Paws 🐾"), and a progress bar to the next reward ("1,690 to a free bath"). The big number is the emotional core — make it the largest thing on the page.
- Earn ways — 3 cards: Get groomed (10 pts/$1), Refer a friend (+2,500), Share your visit (+1,000 + a treat). Visually equal — they're one currency.
- Redeem catalog — the 6 rewards as tiles with point cost + a "Redeem" CTA, locked/greyed until affordable, with a subtle "X more" on locked tiles to pull them forward.
- Refer a friend — share link / name+email capture; copy: "Give a friend a free first add-on, get 2,500 paws when they're groomed."
- Share & earn (advocacy) — short form: paste post link or upload screenshot → "Submit for points." Show the FTC disclosure line they must include (see below).
- Fine print — earn/expiry rules, FTC disclosure requirement, referral terms.
The numbers (build to these, pending sign-off)
| Mechanic | Value |
| Earn rate | 10 points per $1 spent |
| Point value | 200 points = $1 of reward value |
| Referral — referrer | 2,500 pts on friend's first paid groom |
| Referral — new friend | Free add-on on visit 1 (or 1,000 welcome pts) |
| Advocacy | 1,000 pts/post + treat + possible feature; up to 2 posts/quarter |
Catalog tiles: Nail-trim add-on 1,000 · Blueberry facial 1,500 · $10 retail 2,000 · Deluxe bath upgrade 3,000 · Free full bath 6,000 (hero/milestone tile) · Free full groom 15,000.
Brand & visual
- Primary green
#4A7C59 · accent bronze #B8860B · paper #faf8f3 · ink #1f2a24.
- Tone: Quirky Zen — warm, calm, premium. Think a spa, not a points arcade. Rounded cards, generous white space, soft shadows.
- Voice: use PAWrents, Zen Den, Den Club, sPAW Day. The pet is the star — paw/treat motifs over coins/cash imagery.
- Mobile-first (most PAWrents on phones). Big tap targets, balance readable at a glance.
- Per HTML Build Standard: distinct
<title> + B&P favicon /favicon.svg on the live page.
Stack-native build note (important — this resells)
Build the page to read everything from config, not hardcoded:
- Universal core: balance display, earn-way cards, catalog grid, referral + submission forms — no brand or industry words baked in.
- Industry layer (config): catalog items, earn-event labels.
- Brand layer (config): "Zen Paws," tier names, colors, point value, copy.
Swap test before "done": could this page run for a nail salon by changing only config (rename wallet, swap "free bath" → "free gel upgrade")? If anything brand/industry is inline in the core, it leaked — pull it into config or flag it.
FTC disclosure — must appear in the advocacy section
The submit-a-post area must show PAWrents the disclosure they're required to include, plainly worded and easy to copy, e.g.:
"I get Bark & Purr rewards for sharing 🐾" — and place it where it can't be missed (not buried in hashtags).
- Don't require positive-only posts or imply any penalty for honest ones.
- A lone
#ad is not sufficient under current FTC guidance.
